A couple of massive rainstorms punctuated my wander into the amber-lit days of New England autumn. Basement flooding and abrupt scheduling changes left me disoriented, but I still enjoyed the wind-down of summer.
The world outside is on fire, and our country is unraveling in ways that fill me with grief. Superpower suicide has produced a political reality that mirrors the season. For now, I'm turning my attention to family, good books, and building solidarity with the communities around me.
